2024 Demo Update!!

All major bugs have been fixed and all the demo puzzles are now available to play. If anyone's playing the game, I hope you enjoy this little game jam demo.

We had pretty ambitious goals for this project, but ultimately, we had to downsize the scope and accomplish what we could in the time of the jam.

The original submission was an eye opening experience. I'd spent a few weeks learning all I could about RPG Maker and coming up with puzzles and map idea, but I wasn't able to complete the game in time and the original submission had a lot of remaining bugs.

7 years later: I randomly decided to look through my old games and noticed I could get the project file for the game working in VX Ace. The bitterness of defeat at the hands of bugs took over, and I decided to update the demo so that it resembles a more complete experience. This was purely a bugfix and QoL update as the core mechanics, puzzles and game design didn't change. I feel that if I made this game again in 2024, I would have made different approaches to the design of things, and completely remaking the game is not something I want to do right now. I just want the random person who stumbles upon this game to be able to experience the game jam game without any issues.

On the off chance someone actually finds this and plays the new demo, I hope you enjoy the game. 
I don't have plans to update this game into a full release currently, but thanks for checking it out. I've learned a lot from working on this project and I hope everyone will enjoy my future titles.
